Laser Show in the Dash |

I cannot remember the exact day -
and I do not believe we received an invoice for the repair - it was
under warranty: |

Driving along Chinook Center on
MacLeod Trail southbound the front wiper started to go. I didn't put
much attention to it - could be that I hit switch by accident.. but
then, after checking the switch, it starts again, then the rear
wiper and without any warning all the control-lights in the dash
started to blink only to stay on solid after a few seconds. |

This happened, while I was
standing in line, waiting for the light to turn green. Here comes
the next surprise: hardly any power from the engine. The people
around me thought most likely: This old fellow shouldn't drive
anymore.. but I can be stubborn: I managed to get at Glenmore Trail
into the left lane to turn towards Lone Star Inc.. This matter
should get their immediate attention. |

I learned in the
meantime, that the cause of this trouble was a bad ground and that a
lot of ML320-owners experienced the same trouble. It was just too
bad, that Mercedes-Benz had to use my car to learn about it. |
