July 8, 2002 - Muffler

Being on the road for some service
calls, I drove along the concrete blocks on Glenmore Trail
eastbound, when I noticed a noisy muffler. At the beginning I
thought it was another car.. but pretty soon I realized it was mine. |

The noise was getting worse by the
kilometer... and fairly soon became embarrassing. When I was
finished with my job, it was too late to call Lone Star Inc.
(Calgary)... So I decided to give them a call in the morning. |

Driving home, a neighbour was at
our place, ready to leave. When I drove up to park my car, she could
not hold herself but asking: "Is this a 12-year old Chevy Truck or a
Mercedes?" |

All I could say: "This is NOT a
Mercedes - at least not anything like the ones, I was used to" |

As it turns out -
it is the catalytic converter, which cracked on the right side and
had to be replaced - finally done on July 26, 2002. |
