June 20, 2002 -=- Engine Light
- A/C - Rear Brakes - Coolant Flush - Door Handle |
| |
When I dropped off the car in the
morning, the door was working - how can't it?.. So she took it off
the work order otherwise they seemed to know what had to be done,
and my wife picked me up. |
| |
While I was working at home, I
received 2 phone calls from Lone Star:
1. "You need new brakes and the rotor turned" ... at 43,000km rear
breaks?
2. "The engine-light could be caused by the coolant, and we
recommend to flush your cooling system" -
This statement was simply false as their invoice shows: |

| |
What could I do?.. If I refused to
get the coolant flush done, they can drag the repairs out and claim
"this is not warranty" and with the brakes?... even if the pads were
down, isn't it b.s. to turn rotors on a car that drives straight?
Well it cost me almost $1,000.00 to get the 43,000km service done. |

Being home, I had somehow the
feeling that they ripped me off and checked the invoice and the
Service-Sheet. I also remembered, that I forgot to tell them about
the burnt-out left headlamp...
but their Service Sheet
stated, that the headlamps are ok. I was surprised, that there
was no parts on the invoice, but perhaps the bulb was just loose -
it had been replaced by Lone Star Inc. (Calgary) before. Then
I found, that they don't seem to test drive the cars.. the mileage
was in/out the same: 43,859km. |
