RUSTED STUDS |
| |
I got the car with 5,600km - and
at 8,000 km the first service was due. I booked it with Dione. At
this time Lone Star Inc. (Calgary) installed the fender flares and
the front bumper. |
| |
The picture above shows exactly
the way the studs looked like, when the vehicle was delivered in
September 1999. Not that this was a big deal for me, but I was
surprised, how many people noticed it. |

During a meeting
at Lone Star Inc. (Calgary) I learned, that I am
not the only one, who complained about this and that these studs are
being replaced with another design (I understand black). In this
case I have to point the finger at Mercedes-Benz and at Lone Star
Inc. (Calgary): During the last 3 years I had a tire changed, and 2
break jobs done, the tire supposed to be rotated etc... if studs are
being exchanged with new ones under warranty on other vehicles - why
was this not done with mine? I hate to be a pain in the butt, I
don't like to complain all the time - this should have been done by
the mechanic in the shop automatically. |

Update: July 25th. 2002 |
| |
During the last
repair - all the studs (20) had been replaced with black ones. Now I
can enjoy the better look for another 5 weeks. |
