"Mercedes service and quality are horrible"
What things have gone wrong with the car?

  • Gas tank leak needed to replace entire gas tank.

  • Malfunction of drivers side window trapped arm in window.

I would never buy another Mercedes due to extremely dangerous malfunctions on my car.

The window malfunctioned and trapped my arm it was squeezing shut so severely that I had to see a doctor after being trapped for 2 minutes until someone opened it.

Had car towed 3 times in one week for intense gas smell and was told each time that there was nothing wrong until the third time tow truck driver verified smell of gas. entire gas tank needed to be replaced - I was told I was lucky I didn't get into an accident because the car could have exploded.
 
 

2003 E500

I bought a 2003 E500. The car absolutely sucks. It has been in the shop 15 times in the first 11 months. The car rattles horribly - something is loose underneath - the gas cap doesn't fit and the phone doesn't work at all. The salespeople at our Jackson Mississippi dealership are either unconcerned or, in the case of the psycho who sold us the car, aggressively hostile. He actually screamed at me! This, after telling me in the presence of my daughters, who had driven with me to the dealership to demonstrate the loud high-pitched sound being emitted from the radio, that he couldn't hear anything and they "couldn't find anything wrong" with the car. The check engine light constantly comes on and has to be reset in the "workshop." I had nothing but praise for the first two Mercedes I drove. The service was also much better. Mercedes Benz USA has yet to respond to any of my complaints - I don't know why I bother. I am so sorry I didn't buy a Cadillac!

1.ALIGNMENT WAS WAY OFF.
2.SRS LIGHT WENT ON.
3.SRS LIGHT WENT ON AGAIN.
4.CHECK BATTERY LIGHT WENT ON.
5.CD CHANGER MOTOR WENT OUT.
6.INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SAID "low battery conven functions temporarily unavailable"
7.NAVIGATION SYSTEM BROKE SO THE ENTIRE SYSTEM SHUTDOWN.
8.BACK TWO WINDOWS AND SUNROOF STOPPED CLOSING AUTOMATICALLY WITH THE SPECIAL A/C BUTTON.
9.SUNROOF DOESN'T OPERATE.
10. (GIVE MY E350 A FEW MORE DAYS AND THIS LINE WILL ALSO BE FILLED.)

WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR JUST UNDER THREE MONTHS!!!!

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. I THINK I NEED LEGAL HELP.
