24 hours after delivery engine torn down for lifter noise!
In 12 months 12 trips to the shop
Over 20 defects a couple repetative
Think I just got a bad one, think again. Based on my research on the web, Lexis-Nexis (Lexis-Nexis is the largest database in the world and is not related to Lexis/Toyota), and WSJ (Wall Street Journal) this is wide spread. The M class is the worst folowed by the C (hatch back and sedan), E class was doing the best. Anyway it drives nice, handles well, but mostly to the shop and back.
Can't say enough bad things about this car!

C 230K

Greg posts:

I have a C230K and it has been in the shop for a total of 45 business days for two major problems. I did try to go the lemon law route and was unsucessful because the arbitrator said that the first problem I had with the car can not be counted because MB did finally fix the first problem. Since then I have negociated with MB. Here is ther latest offer. They reccommend I trade in my "lemon" for a new MB. They will give me $15,000 for my car. I paid $31,000 for it a year ago. Then they will give me $2,000 dollars off invoice on a new MB car. That means I will lose $16,000 in the deal. Sound like a good deal to you? I'm not sure what to do next???? Any suggestions?

Have a C240 since about 1.5 years. Constantly in the shop

Engine died while driving 70 miles per hour. AC is not working properly 2 days a week and MB pretty much replaced every single part in this car for other reasons.

Now they cant find whats wrong with my AC and i asked them to set up a meeting with a MB rep.

Will post an update after the meeting.
