The MB 300 TDT |
| |
My first Benz in North America.. A
Turbo-Diesel 300TDT - wagon. We just started a new company and
needed some more transportation. After driving a GMC diesel before,
I thought a Mercedes can only be better. We got it used in the
spring of 1993 and put about 120,000km on it, we had to replace the
front brakes and the starter, otherwise all we needed were
oil-changes. |
| |
... and yes - we had European
headlamps and a license plate from our home town in the front. In
the fall of 1995 we moved to an acreage at the west side of the city
and there was no garage. During the winters the fuel lines froze and
we could not drive this vehicle for about 4 weeks (in the average). |

The problem was getting serious
after our son
died in April 1999, after an insulin reaction. His 4x4
started under all weather condition, and he got out of our driveway
and up the little hill. |
| |
I kind of panicked after we had
the first snow fall in September of 1999. I started shopping for a
Mercedes Benz ML320... never should have! |
